I guess I have it lucky in a way. My mom would tell me to get laid, get drunk, smoke pot and have fun rather than be some unhip geek who likes computers. But then again, she isn't your typical asian parent.

You clearly aren't motivated enough. Some people would rather die than go back to prison. If you'd be brough back alive, then you aren't motivated enough. Either you're a huge pussy and can't stand up to your own parents (in which case you were born a coward and have my sympathies), or things aren't nearly as bad as they could be, in which case, you're still huge pussy- sort of like me not being able to break up with my GF.
