A majority yes... however...

I have a friend who is
1.) about 5 foot 6 and about 110
2.) quite attractive
3.) def has a life
4.) does pretty well for herself
and she also isn't asian.

she got into cosplay because she loved designing clothes. Some friend of her's asked her to make him a costume for a convention. She found out about it and got into making her own stuff. She isn't even really big into anime.

A bunch of my friends do cosplay alot. I'm gonna do some costuming this year at Dragon Con. I have a Towelie costume I made, a friend and I are doing a dude with a giant spoon and a banana (from Don Hertzfeldt Rejected), and some of my friends and I are doing Beatles from the cover of Sgt Pepper's. This is gonna be the first costumes I've ever done that weren't for Halloween.

I'm officially scared. I know many cosplayers, none are that weird......

though admittadly friends and I considered doing a group costume of GIJoe and Cobra and going so far as to sing the theme song, specifically the extended version of the theme song that I can only recall seeing preceeding the movie. However we realized before too long that that was really, really lame and we didn't do it.

regardless of how funny it will be, sometimes you just do stuff to purposefully make fun of it or do it because we all need to act a little "stupid" sometimes. I'm not calling the people in the video "stupid" or anything, it's kinda funny though... but hey, if they got spirit, hell, let them live it out 'till they really grow up and start doing the 40-60 hour work day shifts, 4-7 days a week, for years on end.
