asbestos?

Im worried that all the people saving lives in ny are going to be a cancer risk because of all the asbestos they are breathing.any experts on haz mats here ?

Asbestos is nasty stuff. Hopefully those buildings weren't old enough to still have asbestos used in them.

anyways, most of the rescue workers i have seen on tv are wearing masks to protect themselves.

THE BUILDING WAS FULL OF ASBESTOS !

EPA has tested the environment in which the rescue operation is taking place. Air samples as well as dust samples have been analysed. The tests have (so far) been negative for asbestos.
