Ever since I got this computer, I've used AS5 (never even bothered with the Shin Etsu on stock cooler). During the winter, when I first built my system, I used the stock cooler and it was loading at 45C. This I found to be a little too high. After that, I bought myself a Freezer64 Pro and decided to use the MX-1 that was preapplied. Soon, I found that the amount was a little too much and it was insulating instead of conducting the heat (40C load). I switched it out for AS5 and it dropped to around 38C load. At a 21C case temp, the CPU was at 37C with AS5 and Freezer64 Pro. Last week, I decided to ask 996GT2 for his MX-1 (we go to the same school) and threw it on my Freezer again. This time around, my CPU's load temps dropped to 35C when Folding with a minimum of 27C at idle. This is after about 72 hours of use compared to fully burned in AS5. I'll keep you guys posted when this stuff burns in further.
