was it tightened down all the way? backplate securely fastened? I know my ACS NV SIlencer gave me a lot of problems with the backplate.

Well, I tightend it as much as i could, i didn't want to tighten it any more for fear of somthing breaking.
When I do the final install of the VF-700 (next week when my other RAM sinks come) then I'll give everything a nice tighten before I put it in my case.

Also (OT a little here), I thought that the VF-700 would interfere with the SLI connector, turns out it doesn't. Just throwing that out there.

EDIT: Also you think this case would have enough ventilation for my 2 VF-700's.

Don't use bare fingers to spread AS. That will just contaminate the compound. Just for future reference.

I knew that, wondering if Killrose knows though.

As soon as the stuff hits the atmosphere it's contaminated. And beside which, I alway's wash my hands after going to the potty :p

Avalon is right. No matter how much you wash your hands there will always be a little bit of oil on them. Not good when you're applying thermal compound.
