Oswald was the fall guy. Getting that many accurate shots off with a bolt action Russian war surplus rifle.......The "magic bullit"........Ruby??????....The piece of skull Jackie went after on the rear deck of the limo, doesn't fit in with the angle of fire. RFK taking on Jimmy Hoffa fits into the equation somehow. Bottom line, we will most likely never know...

What is this "magic bullet" theory?

They had a program about this on America at Night. Very interesting. The guy was a researcher on this specific topic. He said the most outrageous theory is that Oswald acted alone.

I can believe it was a Mafia or "private" enterprise type plot but there's noway the U.S. government could keep a secret like that. Gov't bees like to talk too much. :)

Chances are in a conspiracy the 'bees' are not granted that information.

Actually Oswald allegedly used a Italian Mannlicher-Carcano.

These are arguably some of the worst military small arms (modern bolt action) ever produced.
He would have been better off with Russian surplus.
This is the primary reason I think Oswald did not do it.

Yeah... go ask the same bastages that put Dubya in the whitehouse who shot JFK and you'll get an answer, either that or it's "grassy knoll" treatment for you.

The sad fact is JFK shook up so many things it's hard to find out what caused his assassination:

$2 bill and going back to a US only backed currency.

Vietnam

Bay of Pigs

Marilyn Monroe

etc.

Each one of his major actions could have resulted in a killing....whether political, money, or jealousy based.

Yea, it would be cool though to find out what really happened. But honestly I don't think anyone really knows except the government .

Another thing to consider, that is not brought up very often, if at all. The drafting of legislation for the Civil Rights Act of 1964 was beginning at this time. Many opposed
this major shift in national policy. JFK was very much for it. PLEASE realize that this opposition was not just in the south but all over this land of ours. There was allot going on back then. With out LBJ, a former Texas Senator, the CRA of 64' would have been watered down considerably.

This is just another factor to consider in this thread and is NOT meant to divert it to any other issue...............:sun:

exactly...JFK acted IMO as a president should, however, that has been proven time and time again to be a short-lived president.

If I were to become a president I'd give myself about 48 hours.

If you were there with Dave Lister, you'd know Kennedy shot himself. Time travel.

Like 3 other people are going to know what you're talking about, ;)

Maybe we can ask John Titor to confirm?

I saw the thing on the History channel last night about 6 hours of the JFK shooting. Some guy said he traced it to 3 french assasins. He provides a lot of facts and there was even a picture taken of the grassy nole that they blew it up and zoomed and saw a guy firing a rifle. I believe it was a conspiracy because that Zapruder film is around the only real evidence and no 2 bullets or magic bullet could've done all that and his movements from getting shot and pieces of skull say that he was definately not shot from behind.(head shot I'm talking about) Everything just points to a conspiracy.

So sad that someone killed the most powerful man in the world(at the time) and nobody will ever know the truth for certain.

R.I.P. JFK :(

I'm not convinced there was a "Conspiracy" per se.

was there more than one shooter? a lot of evidence points to a grassy knoll shooter.

Did the Commission try and cover it up? Yes. almost definitely they did it probably because they thought it was best for the country, but i'm not convinced the commission was in on the "conspiracy".

i watched some of the history channel monday.

JFK was gettin the CIA taken down from huge amts of power, big oil in texas, vietnam, and johnson didnt like him.

there was even a recording released from miami detailing the plot to kill him.

plus there was a party the night b4 it happend in texas where big oil, hoover, and johnson all got together. and had a private meeting, in which johnson was said to have afterwards said that the kennedy's would no longer be bothering him.

one HUGE HUGE plot.
