I have not had an alc beverage in a month as of today. I am really proud of myself, feels good, and I know I can live without it.
To some of you this is nothing, but I am more addressing those who drink beers all the time like Clamum.

But I can't wait to have my first bee...lol ummm

Just drink. It helps your body and mind. Think of it like this:

A herd of zebras is being chased by a lion. There are a few in the group who are slower than the rest. Because of the zebras pack mentality, they will slow their overall pace so that the slower/injured zebras can keep up to some extent. Now, when the lion catches those slow/underperforming zebras, the whole pack is able to speed up and operate that much more efficiently.

The lion is beer, and the lame ducks are your slow brain cells. Drinking helps speed up your brain function by killing off the slowest brain cells!

I still can't understand why people find beer tasteful. The only thing beer is good for is beer pong  and sake bombs.

This is insulting to all the tasteful beers I've had, and all the hard work people put in to brew it. I love brewed beer... it just makes my day 5 stars after work sometimes.

If your post is an example of this, I think I prefer sobriety.

Because I became a corrupted Muslim after going to college here, I fell in LOVE with beer, and this month is Ramadan so I had to at least show some respect and not drink during this month. That is really why, it is ashame.

My rooommate and I used to do this every now and again... just to prove to ourselves that despite the highly frequent and impressive quantities of drinking we did, we still weren't alcoholics. We'd just pick a start date and then we wouldn't drink a drop of alcohol for a month. Never really had problems with withdrawls or anything.

Lately I don't drink nearly as much alcohol as I used to. I might have 2 or 3 drinks apiece on Friday and Saturday, but thats about it. Rugby season is underway again, however. Drinking with the team is a different story...

I used to drink and party big dime from 16-22, I quit when I was 23 due to health issues and I just drank the other weekend 25 now for the first time in two years. To tell the truth I didnt really even like it, who knows.
