Then he doesn't need or deserve his license back. Driving is a privilege, not a right. He lost his privilege with DUI #1. Let him walk the fuck to his destination(s).

So much for paying your debt to society and continuing on with life.

Good luck, and and try not to get popped again. 🙂

So no one ever deserves another chance? IIRC, he didn't harm anyone but himself with what he did.

He paid his due. I will give him that, but if he EVER drove under the influence again drove I would not have anything good to say about him.

People understandably have strong feelings about this, myself included. But the point of the law is to punish and basically teach you a lesson. If someone finally gets it and turns things around for good, then it worked. And thats a good thing for everybody.

He did have multiple chances. More than enough to still get his license revoked.
He could very well have hurt/killed someone, it was just luck that he didn't.
He paid his due. True. Did he learn his lesson? From the way he talked about his DUIs, I doubt it.

I don't suppose you have a sense of humor about arson?

With 3 DUI's...he had another chance...a couple of times.

I've always thought that the 3rd DUI should mean a few years in state prison...and a lifetime loss of driving privileges...so for Rudeguy, it's a good thing I don't write the laws. 😛

Since he's apparently "rehabilitated himself," I don't have a problem with him getting his license back...but if he gets another DUI, I'd certainly support losing his license for life...and sending him to prison for 5 or more years.

Didn't know he had 3 DUIs. : /

Yep...I for sure was not entitled to another chance. But life is good now and I am a much better person from the lessons I learned.

Wow! 3! I don't feel bad for you anymore.
I'm sure that was the "old" you... but it was also the "old" you the second and third times.

3 years sober. I dont think he's going to fuck that up. He's got way to much to lose.

Good job Rudeguy.

If you didn't learn your lesson after one, you're definitely "special". 😀

Might want to lay off the hooch for awhile.
