There is left and there is far-left, just like there is right and far-right. Once you go far-left/far-right they tend to overlap in ideologies but simply differ in appearances. Everyone knows this.

theslate.com is owned by the same parent company that owns the Washington Post and Newsweek. They are a far left wacko publication? Sounds fairly mainstream, liberal, but mainstream to me. Or maybe that company is far left and most of you just haven't realized you listen to far left media without even realizing it...

Dude, I live in the place where the whole hipster thing started. Where almost all the male liberals are bearded year-round. The only reason I go clean-shaven most of the year is because I don't care for how it itches (and because my beard has gone really grey).
