Kerry seems to be the latest interest of the "conservatives" here.

Dean was, but he is seen as less of a threat. Kerry was not of much interest but suddenly he is their focus.

Oh, and before you guys come back with something asinine like "Well everyone picks on Bush", Bush is the ONLY one who will be the Republican Presidential candidate in November, and he certainly has participated in world affairs enough to be noteworthy. At this point I will refrain from saying anything else, but I reserve the right to change that when the inevitable attacks begin :D

Not that it really bothers me, but the RNC candy stripers are predictable and certainly entertaining. Carry on. :p

The recent Kerry Bashing threads are only preaching to the Chior. I seriously doubt that it makes an impression of those who are undecided because of the ludicrous nature of the smear attacks and the obvious partisanship of those who are making the attacks

Absolutely amazes me how those who will blindly vote for Bush regardless of any other candidate on another ticket
will go so far out of thier way to document why they wouldn't vote for someone that they never considered voting for anyway.

Kerry is running as a Democratic Cadnidate, and you Republicans won't vote for him anyway.
Stay the hell out of the Democratic Primaries, you're not voting there, so quit trying to manipulate the outcome.

But then again, how many Republicans will cross-over to try to influence the Democratic Primaries anyway ?
The have a history of manipulation to try to get the weakest opponent on the ballot to face their heros don't they ?

Do you actually think that Kerry Smear Threads are anything else than preaching to the Chior?

A couple of real quick comments as I'm currently in a downtown Austin computer lab.

I think the reasoning behind the increased "Kerry bashing" is largely due to the fact that he is now widely considered the front runner for the Dem nomination. In essence, Senator Kerry represents more of a belief to posters here rather than a figure or leader.

We must admit that an enormous amount of animosity has developed in this forum during the past year. To illustrate this animosity, consider the threads with polls likening Bush to the worst dictators of all time. While anyone who has critically read into the adventures of Stalin, Hitler, Khan, Pot, etc. may casually disagree and perhaps dismiss such contention, others view this irresponsibly composed rhetoric as either an attack on their individual beliefs or a vehicle in furthering their own agenda.

I've long suspected that the Dem frontrunner would receive an inordinate amount of criticism here on ATPN. From my perspective, this criticism is but a natural consequence of the constant "Bush is teh eval" drivel we see daily.

I'll comment more on the subject later.

You are a fvcking moron. Its the democrats who have in the past crossed over and effected republican primaries. No the other way around.

Winston predicts a political frontrunner will have to defend their record. What an unexpected event.

It's just trolling and baiting. Frowned upon by all, but nothing new really (especially by Galt). You know what's even worse? Not having the balls to admit it.

I wonder if this isn't the year that there is finally a public backlash against the neocon's WWE-style of political debate, with their personal attacks and smear campaigns.

Most of America tends to run moderate-to-conservative, but neocons are NOT conservatives. At best, they are talk-radio fanbois. At worst, they are hardcore fascists. Damn liberals are no better though @#$*&%#

See the difference is, Alchy, I have no qualms about admitting that I occasionally post those.

Then you have the balls to admit you troll and bait? Nicely done :) Let's ask JG and heartsurgeon, they seem to be posting most of the nastier Kerry stuff lately...

Pft. The Democrats don't have money or the ambition (we are all too high from what I hear) to organize such a thing. Keep spinning away from the truth.

Don't any of you know a god damn thing about history and politics ?

I agree totally Gaard. Why you would never consider linking some silly character assassination site as a thread topic, would you?

Nope never

Not a chance...

Innocent as the driven snow

Too funny! :) As I also say, it's only "trolling" when you don't like the topic, or when it's against "your guy." Man, this is an instant classic--thanks for the laughs over coffee this morning, sir.

It's good to see Alchie keeps such studious notes of who does what here @ P&N. Good job. Some day I'll petition you for my permanent record just to see what you've been writing about me. :)

As MB would say, as soon as Kerry became the front-runner, thousands of lab monkeys hit their cage doors shrieking and are now so red in the face and the floor of the lab is so covered in spittle that it's hard to even pass through anymore. We had to endure the same thing when Dean was anointed by the press as the so-called front-runner. I think the big difference between the Bush threads and the Kerry threads of late, is the latter's over reliance on specious web sites that have absolutely no credibility.

As much as I dislike Bush, you don't see me posting crap from MoveOn.org or LiberalsWhoHateBush.com.

Sorry, I don't feed the trolls, as you kids like to say.
