I hate to sound cold-blooded but at what point does a guy need a pre-nup? I love my grrl, but who ever knows?

I'm guessing you had no children together. Then, despite the pain, it's really minor league divorce.

More good news, you got out early before you had assets, tons of friends together, deep feeling for one another.

There's some good advice in the replies to your OP, stay connected to friends, find a "survivors of divorce" support group and get busy with a hobby or your career.
