Do they play soccer in Canadia? I don't even see their team listed at world cup. Probably not. Even they Know soccer sucks and play a less sucky sport instead called hockey. It's only less sucky because they fight and move at reasonable speeds due to ice. We could learn a lot from our neighbors up North. Just give it up. Crap game with halfletes.

wasn't it a variation on that film? i just remember she got some press because she was supposed to break through into the american market. nothing came of it though

I don't know actually. My sister rented it, and I saw her in it. I think she modeled for Sport Illustrated, but I could be wrong.

srsly...
l0cutus, name 5 indian movies and actors without googling.
now do the same with american.

Why should I be able to name any? I'm not living in India and I'm not Indian. My point is that they have a HUGE following in India. The point isn't that America doesn't export a shit load of popular pop culture. The point is that the world doesn't actually revolve solely around the US as so many in this thread think it does. IN INDIA people watch more INDIAN films than almost anything else. Sure they know the names of American pop stars. I'm not arguing that America isn't a huge force in the world. I'm arguing that there is a SHIT load more out there than just america and that believe it or not other countries don't think about american products, pop stars, etc etc.. all the time. Yes America is important but the rest of the world doesn't solely orbit around you guys.

actually i was referring to all 3.

pop culture, military, economy.

locut0s: dollars made and dollars spent is really the only objective measure one can make of the quality of a film.

W.O.W I don't think I've heard something this stupid in a long long long time!

Perhaps you meant something like "it's the only objective measure of the success" of a film but that's not what you said. You said of the QUALITY of a film.

Well first off there isn't such a thing as a truly objective measure of the quality of a film like a 1-10 rating that everyone can agree on, if there was it wouldn't be a medium for artistic expression of any kind. So there's no point in stating that there is because there IS NO true objective measure. If you want something slightly close to one though there are these people called movie critics and they do aggregate their reviews on sites like rottentomatoes.

But then again there is so much wrong with that statement there isn't much point in even trying...

Actually soccer/football is catching on more and more in both the US and Canada. I hate sports in general but I can definitely see why soccer is the worlds sport.

its stupid as claiming that just because something is popular that its good.

AFL - "Australian rules is a contact sport, in which players can tackle using their hands or use their whole body to obstruct opponents. Dangerous physical contact (such as a pushing an opponent in the back), interference when marking and deliberately slowing the play are discouraged with free kicks, distance penalties or suspension, depending on the seriousness of the infringement."

Rugby - "Unlike in American football, "blocking" is not allowed, so only the player with the ball may be tackled or rucked. "
"Tacklers cannot tackle above the shoulder (the neck and head are out of bounds), and the tackler has to attempt to wrap their arms around the player being tackled to complete the tackle. It is illegal to push, shoulder-charge, or to trip a player using feet or legs, but hands may be used (this being referred to as a tap-tackle or ankle-tap).[13]"

Fail.

Rugby is a harder game than football. I grew up in Australia and New Zealand and played both Rugby Union and Rugby LEague. Then I played football at high school in LA when we moved back.

Rugby is definitely a harder contact sport AND requires a hell of a lot more fitness.

But soccer...yeah fuck that game. The euros can shove it up their ass.

Keep hating people. Since America is such fail I wonder why these people spend their time on an American website, talking about our politics and healthcare, spend their time watching movies we make and music we produce?
I couldn't tell you the first thing about Austrailia or anywhere else.

We were first to go to the moon, we created automobiles, we created planes and that's just off the top of my head.

We are so cocky cause we can be. We are the greatest country or civilization in history. 10,000 years from now they will be reading about the great United States of America in the history books.

Rome and China may disagree imo.

And in 10,000 years we'll all be Indian and Chinese :awe:

it must suck, does it not... knowing you guys always play second fiddle to the US?

Actually not because average living standards in US are not that great compared to other countries in the so called First World.
Infrastructure starting from Roads, power lines, water supply, build quality of houses and so on is just not of the same quality in all "western" countries.
And the Gap is IMHO much bigger than one would think, especially americans that never were outside of america.
Of course this makes sense. The money spend on wars must be saved somewhere.

First US City on 31th place.

the truth hurts son.
don't forget the internets. we invented that shit too.
First networks were military networks true but the Internet (world wide web, HTML, browser) was invented at CERN (World leading particle-physics research center) in Geneva by a British guy called Tim Berners-Lee.

we do play football, we are just no where near world class.

japan's different. we've had a large military presence in their country for the past 60 years, so their perception of foreigner is either chinese (the country they used to dominate) or american (the country that dominates them.)

that, and we big americans with very large penis.

otherwise, yeah, i agree with your post.

taking a break for 5 minutes for every 10 seconds?

Sounds like your sheep fucking routine.

He's not a sheep s**gger; he's from New Zealand, not Wales.

Different definitions, but all involve the Welsh or Wales.

The word sheep shagger is when someone hugs a sheep when they are cold. This can be mistaken for sheep sh**ging. It mainly happens in Wales due to the cold weather.

Men from Wales are sheep shaggers: they s**g sheep after they get drunk on a night out in the pub. They take turns holding the sheep (an ewe) and s**gging her.

Its from urban dictionary so it must be true (NSFW):
