I am too!

oh man don't get me started ... i already miss it 🙁

check out my sig. i have about 450 pics from my trip online. i went june 17th - june 21st. it honestly is the best place i have ever been and i plan on going back next summer, and possibly earlier. you are going to fall in love with it.

also, on my website, check out my link to the aruba bulletin boards. check out the trip reports in there. i wrote a very detailed one titled "Amsterdam Manor June 17th - June 21st" or something like that.

i stayed at Amsterdam Manor and the place was spectacular. We stayed in a superior studio and I believe it was like $100/night and its ocean side so when you walk out your door in the morning, you will see the ocean accross the street.

i just cannot stress how beautiful that place is. i wish i could live there. i went snorkeling on the Red Sail Sports antilla snorkelling trip. it was a few hours. it has an open bar on the boat, and they drop you at 2 places to snorkel for like 30 mins each. the antilla is a huge ship wreck that was so badass to see. i have pics from underwater, but pics don't do it justict.

definitely check out my trip report on the website linked on my website in my sig, because its very detailed and talks about all the things I did there. i crammed in a bunch of activity in a short amount of time.

EDIT: Link to trip report. Also check out the general discussion forums on there, a lot of knowledgable people in there.

hahaha here I am, and I just posted 😛

i think anyone who goes there is in love with the place. i actually got in conctact with an ICT company over there and sent them my resume earlier today. the only thing that REALLY sucks is that most jobs require you to know dutch, spanish, and english fluently.

i honestly would live there and work there.

IIRC, the only way you're allowed to live there (if you weren't born on the island) is if you either are retired or agree not to work. They save all the jobs for the islanders.

nope, i've done my research 🙂

you just have to prove (by bank records and income) that you can support yourself, and get a work permit. HOWEVER, they will ONLY look to hire foreigners IF the desired skills are not present on the island.

basically, you can only work there if you aren't from there IF your skills are not currently present on the island. all the locals get first priority to the jobs on the island, THEN they look to overseas (overseas to Aruba). its VERY tough to move there though and work. just getting a work permit is hard.

i've done some research.
