PS - if you guys want to dive, go to cozumel, belize, cayman brac. Simply amazing.

You can get really good deals to aruba. I stayed at that mariiot for cheap. Almost bought a timeshare. I can't recall but the "timeshares are bad, mmmkay?" doesn't apply there. different options/rules/selling/etc. Plus, just grease one of the guys at the counter and you can get an all inclusive band.

wow, I didn't know it fell. We were there about 5 years ago.. great place.
We took a crash course in Scuba diving and did that while we were down there. Did 3 tanks worth of diving. great experience.

oh and spidey, were you allowed to go on the natural bridge while it was still up? when we went there they had it fenced off from the parking lot side saying its not safe to go on it.

(not trying to steal your thunder Aharami, you just got me excited about Aruba again and I checked out my gallery so I figured I'd share it in this thread :))

haha steal my thunder. nah its all good man. I thought your site is down?
and Drew, you might want to check out autopano-sift, hugin, and enblend to stitch together your panoramas. Together they work WAAAAY better than that ****** canon photostich program. Learning curve is a bit high, and it takes a little longer to create the panos, but they come out so much better

No you're spelling's fine - my misspelling was apparently due to the margaritas.

Yes, the nonflying birds are feisty. Looks like you had a great time. It's been a while since I've been there. (1992)

I'm probably mixing this up with Fiji or some other exotic destination.. but is Aruba relatively inexpensive not counting the plane tickets?

You spend what you would in America on vacation, or maybe a LITTLE more. And that's for attractions.

When we did the snorkel trip it was I believe $35/person. That included a ride to/from our hotel to the dock, an open bar on the boat, a 3 hour or so ride with snorkelling at 2 different locations for about 30-45 minutes each.

It really depends what you want to do that will make or break the bank. When I went w/my GF we decided to go all out and eat out every night and go party every night, as well as do some type of activity every day. But if you don't go eating out every night and want to hang on the beach all day, you can spend very little $$. I believe Aharami said he spent $250 on his week long trip. Hell my GF and I spent more than $250 in one day when we went. It included wave runners in the morning, horse back riding in the afternoon, dinner at the flying fishbone, then partying all night long.

I surprised at how far our money went when I was in Aruba.
