Matthew 25:46 "Jesus then turned and finished his thought. Except the gays, fuck the gays, don't do anything to help them."

Damn, that context really helps.
lol +1

John didn't have a pickup. The Apostles all shared a single Honda and the Bible states this clearly where it says they were all of "one Accord". 😎
😀

Muslims may or may not like gays, but they don't have sacramental marriage so it isn't tied up with all the religious meaning that Christians put into it.
Good point. That totally offsets the whole burning alive thing.

Why is it always Christian businesses that are getting sued by gay rights activists and never a Muslim shop? Does anyone actually think that Muslims are more tolerable towards gays? Or is it that currently the courts uphold Muslim religious rights?

No business, Christian or otherwise, is being sued in this case. The business is suing the city because they want an exemption from a city ordinance.

Maybe Christians should take over gay bars and use them for their Bible class?

OT: In my college town, there was a systemic push by churches to buy/rent as many spots along our bar strip as possible. Because in Oklahoma you can't have a liquor license within x number of feet of a church (I think it is 500). So basically the bars couldn't change hands or close for any period of time or they couldn't reopen.

Brilliant.

You guys really are terrible with this logic thing.

Here:

Businesses being required not to discriminate is not the same as a business being required to discriminate.

But I'm glad for you that you follow the inherently honest and well-informed interpretation of law from "christianpost.com"

That's not what my post you quoted was talking about. Again, we had an entire thread where this question was discussed in detail and the source of the article I linked is completely irrelevant. The person I replied to asked if he could refuse service to a theoretical gay couple due to the content of what they wanted the OP to do (paint their same-sex wedding), and I replied yes that per the resident progressives he has a total and absolute First Amendment right to refuse to produce that "speech" for them. Typical quote affirming this goes something like this:

Who said that refusing to write happy marriage to David and David on a cake was illegal?

Everyone has free speech rights. A christian baker can't be forced to write 'I love gay marriage' on a cake and another baker can't be forced to write 'I hate gay marriage' either.

Instead of confusing censorship with its polar opposite, free speech, why not just listen to what people are actually saying as opposed to what you wished they were saying?

Why is that the modern social justice argument and not simply the non-discriminatory argument?
It can be both.

Gays: My partner and I want a big and expensive wedding.
Idiot: I don't serve gays. I don't like yous. You got a real perty mouth.
Gays: SHUT UP AND TAKE MY MONEY!

Gay-friendly entrepreneurs should be furious right now. They're polite and greedy enough to serve gays, and gays respond by punishing them? Gay proles want the government to divert money away from gay-friendly businesses and put it into gay-hating businesses? What the hell?

%s/gay/black/g and see what's wrong with your line of thinking. Separate but equal didn't work 60 years ago, it won't work now.

The artist should advise that he/she prefers not to do the work...and if they insist, I would think the artist's lack of enthusiasm may come into play and be reflected in his/her work.

Together but equal doesn't seem to be working either. Since segregation ended, the wealth gap between black and white has worsened. Incarceration rate has increased as well, implying that police and judges in modern America are actually more racist than they were in the past.

What's funny is that the tolerance shown by my people, Jews, has lead to us being stereotyped as greedy capitalists who only care about money. Well yeah, that's basically true. Show me the money and we'll do business. This is why we run the banks, we run the media, and we run everything in between. We did the business nobody else wanted to do. Christians have always had a weird relationship with money because their bible takes a lot of jabs at wealthy people, and there's a story in Acts where Simon Magus tries to buy god's power. As such, Jews were limited to the jobs that Christians didn't want to do. That includes things like taxes, banking, accounting, or anything else related to handling money. Surprising absolutely nobody on earth, that lead to us controlling the world of banking of finance. That's how this game works. If you hand business to someone on a silver platter, don't act surprised when that marginalized group begins to dominate that industry.

I imagine a point in the future where gay people will absolutely dominate certain fields that provide services to others. They will be the most powerful wedding planners and interior decorators. They will dominate acting and the arts. They will dominate every field that has been handed to them by idiots, and then those same idiots will complain about a global gay conspiracy.

A funny thought occurred to me:

What if someone really didn't like gay people but opened up a business that specifically catered to gay people and their particular needs? I mean they'd be doing this just because of the opportunity to exploit a market niche.

Would that be wrong?

Provided they abided by all applicable laws and regulations, no.

No but if they let their attitude slip their business could tank in a hurry. I would seriously question how much passion such a person would be able to put into their business if they couldn't stand their customers though. Probably doomed to fail from the get go for all sorts of reasons.

You greedy Jew! How dare you try to better your own financial position by providing a good or service and helping the community?!!? People like you, doctors, lawyers, accountants, and engineers should all be gassed.

Good point. I can see gay people really capturing this market. A person who is passionate about their work will do a lot better than a person who is passionate about their religion. See: all of the Middle East and North Africa.

Not necessarily. There's a liquor store in my neighborhood that's run by a Muslim family. I expect they abhor the product they sell and they probably don't approve of the people who buy their product but the service is fine and the prices are fair considering I don't have to drive to Costco to get a better price.

Plenty of muslim people that practice Islam and drink booze and smoke.

Crazy world, right?

Hey, you know what? I also know a lot of Jewish people that actually eat pork!

HOLY SHIT IS THAT INSANE?

Yeah. I found at lunch time that one of my mom's Jewish friends (wonderful lady who loved my mom's pork roast) passed away from Parkinson's Disease. 🙁

First job I had was working in a Jewish owned deli. His biggest seller was Virginia baked ham sandwiches. He also had Bacon in the deli case.

So your telling me that Muslims are actually more cool with the idea of homosexuality? You truly have no idea what the Koran says.

But you missed my point. If this is a law that religious rights aren't protected then why are some religions protected while others aren't? So I used Muslims as an example because they are far more intolerant towards gays than Christians yet I haven't seen a Muslim store get sued.

Maybe they open businesses to make money and not push their own beliefs onto people that obviously won't listen?

Or maybe you could go troll a few of them with one of your buddies pretending to be gay and then we can hear about it and call them idiots too. The worse that can happen is that you fail and have to eat a bunch of cake!
