I've visited thousands of fictional worlds in my time, unlike conservatards who could do no better than get themselves completely stuck in this one:

Unlike the 90% of Democrats that believe in God.

Actually, IT professionals tend to be highly educated and the educated tend to lean much more to the left. This board happens to have some of the loudest and most close-minded individuals be those that lean to the right. There are definitely crazies on both sides, but there are far more on this board that are righties.

Most IT people I've worked with tended to be pretty conservative, though they were all Texans, so... :D

Isn't there a much stronger correlation between income and political affiliation than education and political affiliation?

There are a PLETHORA of Rightwing loons in here which is amazing to me on a Technology website.

Define "Rightwing loons". There is a difference between intellectuals that realize the corruption of the American government - in addition to how they only manage to get more and more corrupt - and then there are bible thumping Christians that think religion belongs in politics and their morals belong in government

Oh - and then there are retarded liberals that think government knows whats best for us. BRB, I'm going to get a soft drink, but ONLY one that is 16oz or less

Are you sure obama pays for all of his food? So when obama hosts people , like say an ambassador from Germany, or perhaps a business leader, you think obama pays for the meal? That perhaps that money doesn't come from the yearly white house budget?

I don;t think his $400,000 salary could handle all of that. Perhaps the food obama pays for (including toothpaste and dry cleaning) is for family meals.

You should not be so quick to tell other people to shut up.... you might actually learn something about how the world works.

No, when its a United States function the government pays for the food. Having a personal guest like Romney is paid for by Obama.
Nancy Reagan famously complained at the prices the government charged them for food.
"Fortunately" Presidents can use campaign donations to pay for their expenses in office so in the end the Obamas won't pay anything out of pocket.

As to what exactly determines if a function is personal or governmental related you will have to take it up with the lawyers. However, if the government pays for the food then it is a governmental function and gets covered by things like the Freedom of Information act. In many ways its very similiar to what you can write off as a business expense in the private sector.

And this is common knowledge so anyone who doesn't have even common knowledge of our government should stfu and stop posting nonsense.

Ah yes - the good ol' failed logic conclusions of a liberal mindset. Telling themselves what they want to hear, not what they actually see. Not once in my post did I ever make a claim concerning my IQ.

That's because you are obviously devoid of one....

I wouldn't put much stock in a Gallop poll did you see how wrong they were on the last Presidential election? Also the word "God" could mean anything. For example when I was in college and I thought my 3 foot bong and a case of rubbers was my "God".

Well, there is the data. Give them the 3 points Gallop was off by in the Presidential election or more if you wish, but there it is. Whether you choose to accept it or not is up to you. Calling your bong God actually gives more credence to the belief in a supreme being.

Was the question do you believe in God or a God? Oh I reread the poll says in God but then the numbers on the bottom say 85% of Democrats believe in God which I find surprising. I would love to see where they polled these numbers. ;)
