That's nutty.
Yeah, I guess everyone that contracts HIV through sexual contact did that "willfully" too. I mean, there's always a chance, no matter how carefull you are.

1. That we can predict the future,
2. that this child's future is so abhorrent that death is preferable to life.
Just wait till marriage to have sex and expect your partner to do the same, problem solved
It is pretty easy to know that a pregnant woman without a highschool education, living on welfare, probably will have a hard time providing for a kid, especially if they already have a couple others.
I personally care much more about what is good for society than what is good for a clump of cells. Having millions of extra poor as hell babies on welfare, growing up in horrible environments would be very bad for society. This is especially true if the parents drop out of school/college to "take care of" the baby.

I don't know about you but most of us aren't interested in either commercials about Gays dating or some asshole talking about how happy he is his mother didn't abort him. We just want to watch football and see some interesting and amusing commercials. Leave the political shit for asshole Cable news junkies.
That certainly solved the problem for my wife and me.
And for equating it with HIV, I think that's a good comparison. There is a chance regardless of what protective methods used that having sex will result in either HIV or a pregnancy. Each can greatly inconvenience someone's life, and each can be totally unwanted. Everyone should know there's a risk of these two things every time you have sex. The difference is that you can murder someone to get out of the pregnancy, but that option isn't available with HIV.
For clarification, I suppose it's not the parent who directly kills the baby but the hitman (i.e. doctor) that they've hired.
Reading about this elsewhere I think none of us should miss the irony. The country appears to be ok with girls in bikinis selling drugs but when a guy comes on saying he's glad his mom didn't have him snuffed out like a wart we get offended.
From the feminist author of the article. Although she is Pro-choice, at least she has the intellectual integrity to recognize that NOW is being quite hypocritical in its opposition to the Tebow add So commercial after commercial of women being exploited as sex symbols is acceptable...but the story of a woman who had an at risk birth but chose to carry the child full term, a child that grew up to be an NFL player...that story is taboo. Didn't Pam Tebow make a choice...shouldn't that be what the Pro-choice movement is all about?

Really. What's going on in our inner cities?
My personal view is that human lives are sacred. And are not to be arbitrarily sacrificed in the name of convenience, or in the hilariously contradictory belief that its better for them.
I don't think I understand. If Pam Tebow had aborted Tim, it would've been good advice. But since she didn't, it was bad advice?
I'm sorry, but simply not desiring to carry the pregnancy to term is selfish. There's more at stake here than the mother's wishes. If a mother willfully gets pregnant, she is responsible now for another life.
Men between 18 and 40 might be the main demographic for the rest of the NFL season, but I think the demographic vastly expands for the Superbowl.
I would equate "willfully have sex" with "willfully get pregnant" as there is always a chance of pregnancy regardless of what birth-control methods are used, and women taking that risk should also take on the responsible to care for the life that they just produced (rather than killing that life). Are you saying that the vast majority of abortions are by rape victims? I think not.

And where does Baby Daddy fit into this equation?
Was listening to NPR the other day...they use the terms 'pro-choice' and 'anti-abortion' to reflect their 'unbiased' perspective. Libs love to play with words and spin them to their liking. There is no pro-life and pro-choice, there is only pro- and anti-abortion.

Well, at least they didn't use anti-choice. Which is the most hilarious by far.
