I glumped on some type 44 compound just to see if it would work. I put an overly thick layer of cpu thermal paste on the cpu in a very lackidasical manner. guess what? My computer was working fine even when the cpu was 51 degrees celsius! Artic silver would give me slow downs, etc @ 45 degrees celsius. This leads me to believe that ASIII boils, or somehow becomes unstable at those high temperatures. any other reasons?
