artic cooling question

I got an artic cooling freezer pro rev 2 for my Bday
I was gonna hold onto it until I got a q9400 or q9550 and then use it.
But now I was thinking of putting it on my e6400 and pushing it up to 3.2ghz.
The ACF comes with thermal paste so I hate to waste it on the e6400.
But if I can do 3.2ghz I may just keep my e6400 running for a while longer.
Not sure though.
Thoughts?
