You realize that Playstation, Xbox, and Dreamcast describes the past 14 years of game consoles right?

Sure if you want to ignore the three Nintendo consoles and the other Sega console from those three generations.

Apparently you didn't read the thread zerocool84 was referring to.

Yes someone said that. And others agreed.

I don't feel like looking for it - could you find the post in that thread where someone said the Xbox 360 and PS3 were the first consoles that sold for a loss?

Ok mugs I'm sorry for bringing it up.

Back on topic, if there is a price drop on PS3's this year then I'll definitely pick one up and then I'll replace my aging old launch 20GB Pro that I got for free.

Hopefully the slim comes out before Thanksgiving at a lower price, since that's when I plan on getting a new TV. Though other than GT5, can't say I really want to play any PS3 games.

From what I understand the PS3 is also harder to develop for in that it is very different than previous console designs (Xbox is still DX) so despite all that extra processing power on the PS3, their are really only a couple of games that really take proper advantage of it and show it off.

MS has done a much better job of making the Xbox accessible and pleasant to develop for.

and even though on paper the PS3 might have better specs the 360 is comparable. Alot of it has to do with the memory architecture between the two. Both do certain things better than the other but it is mostly even when it comes to overall graphics quality which then makes it about who has the better services/titles. And the 360 spanks the PS3 in games/online functionality.

I disagree. Ok, Live is better and has more features. But the PSN is still very good, IMO, and great for being free. But as for the games? That argument has been dead for a while.

My 20 GB Zephyr model Pro 360 feels like an absolute dinosaur now. :( Still, it's not such a big deal to delete a game from my hard drive and install the one I will be playing the most.

My 80 GB MGS4 Bundle PS3 > any 160 GB and/or slim PS3 model. I don't care if they make the PS3 come standard with a 500 GB drive or make it one square inch, PS2 compatibility is greater than any of those fluff features. Wish I had a 60 GB launch PS3 but hey, at least I can still play 99% of PS2 games without any problems.

I love how this "mole" has no specifics, only vague and broad generalities, so if any of this takes place within like a three month period, they can claim they were right!
