Palos Verdes, it's in Los Angeles County.

They had a ton of cranes and a giant backdrop set up. Probably to do some sunset scenes or something.

richards. depp's inspiration for the capt. character. they're trying to get him to play depp's dad. last i heard, he's interested but no commitments yet.

with keith it at least had the possibility to be something other than the usual sequel "same crap all over again, but with newer, overdone special effects"
