I'm really po'ed right now... Have any of you ever had some incompetent moron at some e-biz store send you the wrong stuff??? Well some idiot sent me 2 32 MB modules of FPM when I spent $4 more for EDO!!!!! That extra RAM was a mission-critical upgrade for my SQL box and with FPM+EDO in the box, it'll crash every other minute. they actually expect me to pay shipping to send back the ram that i did not order and wait *5* fricking days (after they get the return) for my new ram!!!!!!!!!!!! i spent $23 on overnight shipping and now i have to wait probably a week or two to get the right stuff!!!! :disgust::|

Somebody try to calm me down.

^I un-capped my message :p (VBScript Function lCase sure is handy)

Sure, I've made countless mistakes, but I've never taken somebody's money and given them something that they didn't ask for... then waste their time to correct the problem.

I'm sure it was a mistake. I doubt they did it on purpose. Relax and move on.

I'm a little better now... The Win2k box with the FPM+EDO mix seems to be staying stable; I just hope I don't have to look at another beautiful BSOD from it. Any ideas on how I could get FPM to work for EDO stable for a while? the machine's just sitting at the Win2k login screen; no sense loading the explorer shell - might crash it. oh well...

Tell them to cross ship. Go ahead and offer to provide your CC if they require it. As long as it gets there quickly, everyone's a happy camper :)

I know it was a mistake. But they should correct it and send replacement parts to me and send postage to ship the "mistake(s)" back to them. I have no money; I probably couldn't even find a few bucks to ship them the stuff via USPS Priority or 1st Class.

BTW the place is called Upgrade Solution - only place I could find with brand-name 32 MB EDO modules for a reasonable price

Ya, that's why there is a bold text <U>setting</U>. Many ways to do this. Caps are just rude, IMO. :(

Yes, they should offer to fix their mistake. amish

I agree. Talk to them to see if they can fix it. If not, offer to pay but complain to your CC company. Maybe they can reverse the charge. Serves them right for goofing up the order.

Personally, I find people using special formatting, like what you did, to be more annoying -- mostly because, for some strange reason, zuni hasn't fixed the bug with the forums where when people using the standard form quote people posting from the enhanced forms and you get HTML tags that come through and the quote isn't shown correctly (like this one is).

The point is he shouldn't have to pay for their mistake. I assume you wouldn't have someone pay for your's.

Dude,

So you wanted him to do the whole message in this message setting, which would be equally annoying?

seems to be going okay... it survived a Sandra mem b/w test with FPM+EDO. BUT like usual on older machines this v. of Sandra wouldn't close after I was done using it; wouldn't even respond to end task or kill process. oh well, I have to reset it now - I hope it works as stable as it is now
