ARRRGH Help Me

Another prob similar to the one i had here

I replaced the cmos battery with the correct one. An Energizer made sure it was correct. Everything was fine for a lil. I come up here after the Eagles lost their game and the comp wouldn?t come out of sleep mode. I restarted it and I got this message on start up in the bios

"CMOS Checksum Error - Loading defaults"

i have to hit F1 to continue past it.

NOW WTF IS WRONG WITH MY COMPUTER!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!? it cant be the battery i just replaced it. Would flashing my bios help?? Its an Epox 8KHA+ mobo someone give me input please

I would shoot Epox an email and ask for their advice really unless someone knows here. Might need to flash the bios. BTW, the mod moved the other thread, why didn't you start this in technical support?

a BIOS flash can't hurt, it may solve your problem.

Check the owner's manual for the MB, it's likely that there's a jumper that will allow you to manually reset the BIOS.

i did that before

I had a bios go bad on the same Epox board a few months after I got it. Epox sent out a new one right away.

That sucks..
I have an 8KHA+, I'm very happy with it.
It's been running about 11 months now, no problems whatsoever.
