they did it on the 10th of October. I just tried to check my email and I was locked out of my own account.

:|

I just got off the phone with tech support and they weren't sure what the best option was. I was thinking of cancelling that account. Would just resetting the password be enough?

why me?

UPDATE: I managed to get my email account fixed. It was hacked by someone in Italy. They added several new email accounts, which I deleted, and I managed to score their IP address: 87.0.103.8

Remember the hiatus recently when people were able to be logged into others' accounts? Is it possible that whomever was logged into your account was able to do anything?

I was away when all that happened.

I am not sure what happened to my email account.

damn kids who don't have anything better to do. get a service that is more secure.

don't forget that if key stroke loggers are present on your machines or any other people's machines that you use to check e-mail, that could easily lead to vulnerability of exploits.

What would be the purpose of hacking your email account? Any real benefit besides sending spam?

They added several email accounts to your email account? That doesn't make much sense. And a hacker is not someone who breaks into computers, it is someone who knows a lot about programming.

You changed your password, right? If your account has one of those password recovery features where you put in your mother's maiden name for example, change that too.

It was my master email account and it allows me to add up to 7 extra email accounts.
