Keep in mind that tonight's episode of Supergirl will be a cross-over episode with CW's The Flash. For those that may not watch it, Supergirl airs at 8PM EST on CBS.

Ugh, the promo was lame. "I was faster!" "I let you win..." ...ugh.

I watched the Supergirl episode last night, and the best part was probably the little jab at The CW where Calista Flockhart's character saw James Olsen, Kara, Barry, and some other dude standing there and made some comment that they looked like a racially diverse cast of a CW show. As for the rest of the episode, it wasn't too bad. The Flash didn't appear until about 10 minutes or so in, and it was quite a sudden entrance. The show still feels like the writing and such is geared toward women though, but almost in more of a stereotypical sense. The one female villain saying to the other, "You need a makeover!", just made me shake my head a bit. 😛

That was just a little quip that was actually cut up a bit from where it was in the actual episode.

I don't normally watch Supergirl but I recorded last nights episode because of The Flash appearance.

If I just delete it, its not crucial to The Flash story line, correct?

Well we did finally see someone that can survive him going full throttle speed when having sex with.

The last few times have been nothing but blood baths as they just obliterated when he sped up.

It doesn't really have anything to do with the story. Also, this episode appears to take place chronologically after last night's episode based upon
Barry wearing the tachyon device than the Reverse Flash used
. So, you'd be free to delete it.

My favorite part as well. That was pretty lol worthy. And a few seconds after that there's another CW reference when Cat insisted that they called the Flash "the Blur" 😀

Mine was when Cat said she knew Barry was the Flash, then looked Kara dead in the eyes and said she can spot a hero trying to be ordinary just like that, as she violently snapped her fingers in Kara's face! lol

All in all it was a a good episode, aside from Flash being kinda useless. Flash fits in well with the Supergirl cast, and probably vice versa. Arrow maybe not so much, but I could see Felicity and Mr Terrific doing OK. Anyways, hopefully they'll crossover more in the future.

Other than the parachute which gave a good laugh, that was a pretty good start to the season. Interesting that he's turned deadlier than he's been in some time.

Didn't expect to see the sister at all, wonder how long she will stay.

Is season 5 of Arrow looking better? I skipped season 4 just because it seemed pretty meh, but I did watch an episode or two where I heard that "big things happened".

Yet another let's go back in time and fix things episode...and he screws up again.

I was a bit meh on The Flash episode. I think I'm just getting a bit tired of how they write Barry to be such an idiot when he's supposed to be fairly intelligent. I also like subtle references to comics and such, but when Thawne just flat out states, that it's "Flashpoint", that just felt waaaaay too on-the-nose. Especially since the Flashpoint comic storyline is far more interesting than what we got (drunk Joe, Kid Flash, ophthalmologist Caitlyn, and dick Cisco).

Oh, and one cannot unsee what has been seen: The Barry Bobble.

For some reason I recall deadshot having died?

So was it real...or a figment...
Interesting.

Hamstringing the guy was pretty cool.

Deadshot was the last one with the bomb, so, yeah, he should be dead, unless this is a time-traveling deadshot?

Flash was a bit better this week, but that's mostly just because they introduced more of The Rogues gallery (Mirror Master and The Top). Although, last week's episode really bugged me. I've always been critical of the terrible CW writing, but season one of The Flash wasn't too bad about it. In last week's episode, I just about turned it off at the part where Jesse shows off her powers and Wally sulks away. It ends up with Joe going off to talk to him like he's a fucking 8-year-old child.

Why is this bad? Well, the character in question is somewhere around 18-21 as he's in college. The main problem is that it's just poor writing to make a character's emotional state so obvious. ...or maybe it's better to say that it's very sophomoric writing to make almost all of the characters painstakingly obvious. It just frustrates me because The Flash is my favorite DC superhero, and I'd like to watch the show, but it's just getting harder and harder to keep watching it. A friend of mine told me that he finally started watching I Zombie and that it was quite good. (I made sure to ask about its level of "CW-ism".)

I fully agree, however, this is the same problem I see if lots of other shows.
I can't figure out who are they targeting with this level of writing?

Finally got around to watching this season flash...wow first ep and things are totally whack. This should be interesting.

Apparently, they are going to have the 4 comic shows all do 1 huge story arc between them. (Arrow + Flash + Supergirl + Legends)
