Only thing about that is the actor they have playing him is buffed out, and they are using Tony Todd (Candyman) as the voice actor. Maybe the future version of Barry Allen that went back to save his mother from Reverse Flash. I heard one theory somewhere that it might be Barry's father. Reverse Flash killed Barry instead of his mother, and the father somehow gained the speed force.

Maybe they are going closer to the original comic Zoom, but since he and Jay Garrick had a thing going he could be The Rival and they are calling him Zoom. Anyways, some interesting candidates: Reverse Flashes.
 
Zoom's identity has been bugging me a bit. His ability seems to be closely related to Cobalt Blue's ability to steal a speedster's Speed Force using his pendant. While I doubt that the show would use the whole long lost twin aspect, they could always make it Earth-2 Eddie. However, Zoom has brown eyes where Eddie's actor has blue eyes. I know that some are guessing that it's John Wesley Shipp in there, and he does have the right physique and eye color. Although, most of the reasons I see for him being bad just seem a bit silly and too hackneyed.
 
I've only seen Season 1. Not terrible.

I started watching Arrow a couple of weeks ago. It's also not terrible...Season 1 was pretty well done. Season 2 seems a bit more...forced. Still...it's binge-watchable...

So far, I think season 1 of The Flash is better than season 2. Season 1 just had a lot of better moments and the cast didn't feel too bloated at times. The worst was probably during the Arrow-Flash cross-over that promoted The Legends of Tomorrow show. You had Team Arrow, Team Flash, and Hawk Man and Hawk Girl from the show. 😱 (Not to mention Vandal Savage.)

Honestly, the worst part about these shows is that they're on The CW. I don't know if CW has this clause about horrid drama being inserted into any show that airs on their network, but my god... some of the drama is just cringe-worthy. If you watch something like Daredevil on Netflix, you really don't see nearly as much of it.

Yeah they kinda messed up this season of the Flash setting up Legends of Tomorrow, but it appears things are back on track with last nights episode. Reverse Flash!!!
 
Season 3 of Arrow is...difficult for me. Now we learn that
Oliver was a semi-trained hit man for A.R.G.U.S.?

I get the show having some plot twists and turns...but they're going in so many directions, its hard to keep up with all of them.

I wish I could find Flash Seaon 2 "On Demand," but it doesn't look like CW offers that.

Unfortunately it is commonly accepted that season 3 of Arrow is absolutely terrible. I suggest you soldier through them without expecting much. Season 4 gets a little better.

Yeah Season 3 is horrible. You can pretty must skip the whole thing if you want. There's only like 1-2 plot points worth mentioning.
 
Unfortunately, I didn't even start watching the show until about mid-way through season 4...and apparently CW doesn't have any sort of "on demand" programming where I can start this season (or Season 2 of the Flash) from the beginning. I'm going to have to wait and hope Netflix picks them up.

I mean, there are sites. I actually solely watch them on these sites to avoid commercials.

Yeah, Netflix for sure has Arrow and Flash. cwtv.com or streaming device apps shows the last 5 episodes, just like all the broadcast network websites.

Halfway through Arrow & just finished the first two episodes of the Flash. I'm really liking the Flash, it's a lot better than I thought it would be! Wish I had started it sooner. I'll read through the thread once I'm caught up. #begoneshowhole
 
Finally got to watch it last night, thought the same thing. Guess this means ms diggle is going to be put back in charge.

Also saw an article and the husband will be getting an outfit revamp as cisco will redo his helmet (a thank god situation as current one leaves more than something to be desired).

I wouldn't be surprised if she isn't. Even if she truly is, she really hadn't done much for the show that couldn't be done with others. This show seems to take it's characters and blend them all together so they're all pretty much replaceable (except the GA himself, though even then..). I remember watching a ep a few back and amused on how Diggle was hacking into the uber impenetrable systems without Oracle .. sorry "Over-watch". You'd think even with her "training" that some things would be outside of anyone but her.. of course I am over thinking a bad comic show.

I keep waiting for the episode of Flash that Cisco announces his true passion is for fashion design.

That actually happened in this episode too. He hacked a TV by touching some wires to send video of ARGUS headquarters back to Team Arrow Headquarters. WTF was that? lol
