I ordered a whole crapload of stuff from them ($2250 worth) and my Plextor 12x SCSI bare drive and Keyboard are backordered...

Keyboard ETA - tomorrow
CD-RW ETA - next week. They've got non bare drives in stock, for the amount of money I spent, they could take a damn drive out of the box and send it to me. Voila, bare drive.:D

hehe, I think bare drive means no warranty (as well as no box, software, etc). That's probably why they couldn't take a retail drive outta the box.

Bare drive still has a warranty of some sort... nonetheless, the warrantied one is $20 more. I shouldn't have to pay for that.:p

BTW, what do you mean by OP center? They're in California, if that's what yuo mean.

sometimes with hard drives I know that OEM means that there's usually no warranty with the drive. However, Mwave might have setup a warranty or Plextor very well could have a warranty with a bare drive. Might be something to check into :)

I know you're not happy but MWave is one of the finest online companies around. My bro had a problem with a MB and they cross shipped one, overnight, at their expense! I've made probably a dozen purchases through them and I've had zero problems with them. I have a feeling that if you call them and explain the situation they'll work with you.

Good luck!
