Some neighborhoods are looking like warzones. They staged attacks in several different cities including Mexico City and Tijuana. Army and national guard are coordinating to quell the violence. Pretty crazy.

video compilation of shooting and authorities responding (some are graphic or NSFW):
Seems at least some of these attacks were coordinated/timed to happen together.

Attacks were expanded from 2 states to 4, and authorities still don't know if there was a 'goal' or if it's just lashing out at the recent arrests.

'Some were quick to brand the arson and shooting attacks as terrorism. But it is not clear what the goal was.
“I think that the orders that were given to these gunmen was to cause chaos,” said Mexican security analyst Alejandro Hope.
“Generate chaos, generate uncertainty, generate fear, shoot at anything that moves. That is something that generates terror. Terrorism implies a political goal. I don’t know what the political goal is in this case,” Hope said.'

Yeah, I might've thought the same if I hadn't pulled it off a reliable site. It really seems like just random, wanton killing and destruction with no aim.
