This Karr character is simply playing fullback for JonBenet's older brother, Burke. He killed her, and since the Ramsey family were seen as "upstanding/wealthy citizens" (and with rumors of the Boulder D.A. having an affair with Patsy Ramsey), they were told that it would be best to cover the whole thing up and dismiss Burke. He (Burke) was only 10 years old at the time, and was known to have shown resentment towards his sisters fame.

i know, i mean i can appreciate that people have the right to speculate, but it seems to me like theres a lot of totally unfounded ideas floating around, lets wait for some proof of something..

The situation with Karr leaving the US to seek employment overseas brings up the controversy regarding illegal aliens coming to the US to work.
There are many people who seek jobs in the US without fear of past wrongdoings in their native country. This is because background checks are a joke. It is difficult and time consuming for an employer to try to verify employment in a foreign country, and trying to get criminal records is even worse.
We can complain about this, yet it appears Americans are doing the same thing. Karr was in Thailand for his own personal reasons, but with a checkered past it seems that he was running from his own criminal record here in the United States.

Because it plays into the stereotypes they love to report on. White blue eyed, blonde haired girl dies and it will be covered for a very long time. A black girl in New York goes missing and her father has to go around printing out pictures of his daughter and handing it out to strangers on the street. Later on his daughter's body is found decapitated and he was lucky that Court TV picked up on it for a brief second.
PS Oh yeah the police didn't even bring out the Amber Alert type system they have in New York when he reported her missing.

I think all people who are accused of crimes should be shot to avoid the monetary expense of trials and pesky details like innocence :roll:

The level of stereotyping he "looks" like a pedophile in this feed is amusing. Edit: He kind of looks like a scientist from Half Life or Half Life 2. There is something flat or odd about his feature set.
The reason there is so much coverage is because she was a little wealthy Causacian girl who was in beauty pagents which presented her pseudo-sexually. Weird stuff. Why was Elizabeth Smart so much in the media (Caucasian with blonde hair and wealthy) and the young woman who disappeared on the island (blonde hair but don't know financial status) and Nicole Simpson (Caucasian and blonde and wealthy but her famous suspect also fed the media frenzy)? Caucasian, blonde and middle or upper class. As another poster pointed out I have not seen weeks of "riveting" news coverage and speculation about African American girls who go missing or are murdered. They usually get a blurb on page 6.

It truly is a sad, sad world we live in when searching for a missing person is selective upon what gender/race/creed/color/religion the person is.

In Colorado that's only a "class 3 misdemeanor," carrying a max sentence of 6 months in jail and a $750 fine or both:
I also don't know whether, as a jurisdictional matter, he could even be prosecuted for this for making false statements to police in Thailand (I'm not licensed in Colorado and can't be bothered to look this up).
As I said, I imagine they'll just ship him to California, where he's facing child porn charges that I imagine are almost certainly felonies.

My take on this guy is that he's fvcked in the head, and after "researching" notable child murders (which he no doubt got off on), he may actually believe that he was involved.
I don't get why the Boulder PD wouldn't try to keep this quiet, since they obviously had zero on this guy.
