Traditionally, how similar are exit polls and the actual results?

All the major news networks seem extremely confident that Arnold will win. One of the major exit polling companies I think got a 59% for recall, 51% for Schwarzenegger count

yay..

perhaps the flaming liberals will be satiated when Arnold helps fix the sorry budget that the Democrats got them into by their flippant 'spend a lot and tax a ton' policy

ZYea, the numbers in the exit polls show that Arnold won by a large margin, so even if they're off a few points, he's still in.

Floriduh 2000 all over again?

Don't get your hopes up until the final counts are in.

As I stated above, the polls are showing that he won by a large margin, so even if some of the polling locations are reporting number that are a little off, or if some haven't reported at all, the margin that Arnold has won gives him a VERY safe cushion. There's no reason to think that anything like what happened in FL will happen again (because it's an extremely rare occurance).

Any idea when the final count will be in? I imagine in a state as large as California with such a high turnout probably not until sometime tomorrow morning/afternoon.
