Arnold is THE american immigrant success story.

Here is a guy from a small town in some pretty unimportant nation who has risen to be the most famous bodybuilder of all time, one of the most famous actors of all time (arguably THE most famous action star), and has now risen to the highest political office he will ever be allowed to get, due to his birth country. Considering that California is the 5th largest economy in the world it could in fact be argued that Arnold has risen as high politically as it is possible for a native born Austrian to even acheive.

He can't be president, but there are lots of things he could be that are higher than Governor of California.

I'd say no although I don't know how their power would differ, since arnie is the top-dog of California and a senator is not.

I didn't bother typing my feelings prior to the calif election much since I don't live there. I wont start here either after the fact.

1 Good thing out of this is that voting DOES work.. if Arnie got people off their couches and encouraged them to go out and vote I think that was a success.

Call me old fashioned but I'd rather throw a parade celebrating the korean guy on the corner who works 18 hour days in order to send his girl to a decent school.... I respect SOME celebs (mainly ugly ones like Billy Bob Thorton or ones who over came great social injustice like Sidney Portier), but Arnold was just a buff guy who was VERY lucky..

well, since governer's have the power to directly appoint senators (if they can no longer serve), then i guess i'd say governer's are better.

I know Arnold took steroids that his doctor prescribed for him, I don't know that he took them on a regular basis otherwise. I don't have a vast knowledge of his life, though.
