In five years he will still be compared to Hanoi Jane. In ten years he will still be compared to Hanoi Jane. In twenty years he will still be compared to Hanoi Jane. Sorry, but that knee is going to be jerking a whole lot longer that you suspect and rightfully so.

The US is not dispensing its own propoganda? As I understand it they're broadcasting into Iraq on at least 5 frequencies.

If you guys are open to constructive discussion fine, but if you're going to call me a name when I don't agree with what you have to say, why even bother posting?

Of course the US is dispensing its own propoganda. And you can bet that would an Iraqi reporter go on US TV and defame the Iraqi government, were he to travel back to his home country he would be killed almost immediately.

There is nothing wrong with propoganda; it is one of the psychological tools used when trying to win a war. Both sides use it readily. It is quite another thing though when a reporter working for a US company is participating with the enemy in their propoganda. Arnett I believe is a citizen of New Zealand. It is likely he may have US residency or at the very least a US Visa. Either or both should be revoked.

Excuse me but I do not go blindly jumping through hoops because those who can not think say jump.
And now get back on THE MESSAGE !

I love when people tell me things like this. It's ridiculous. When did I ever say that in order to be right you had to agree with me? You chose to take that away from what I said. That's not my fault. It's especially funny because you and everyone else consistently claim that you are the educated side and the other side has no idea what is going on. I have a suggestion for you: get off your high horse and actually try to make an argument. If you want to claim that I can't think, then why don't you actually try dong some of that yourself.

For the second time - and read this toroughly please - I'm not calling you a name because I disagree with you. I'm calling you ignorant because you don't look at the facts. I explained clearly the reason for my opinions. You can disagree if you want, but you might want to try to explain why what I said was wrong. I really don't think it's possible because the reasoning I used (and I'm sorry if I sound lilke I'm tooting my own horn here) was airtight.

Now, do one of two things, please.

1) Give reasons for your opinion that prove me wrong

2) Admit that I'm right and my analysis was spot-on

Hey, I'm sick and tired of being accused of being ignorant for no other reason than that I agreed with the war and the anti-war people believe that they're so right that I must be uneducated, so I know that I don't like being called names. However, I combat that with my arguments (that never get answered).

Ilmater:

First = Forum rules NO PERSONAL ATTACKS, this happens to be your specialty, everyone who dosen't take your stance is an idiot.
I don't know why the mods haven't canned your sorry ass, you don't offer debate.

Second = Maturity. Do you have any ? I haven't observed any in your recent attacks,

Third = Military background ? Do you have one, or are you a Chicken Hawk who roots from the sidelines while staying
the hell away from the action. Let them take the risks while I watch on television, looks cool from here.
Ever been pinned down by mortar fire ? Ever scramble to the call of INCOMING ! I have, ain't fun.
I did my time in 'Nam, lost friends who didn't deserve their fate.

Fourth = Freedom of speech. Freedom of the press. To bad he told the truth, unlike this sorry administration
which keeps changing what they consider to be the rules - everything that they asked for and got was changed
to a different requierment after the compliance was made. Now the world doesn't trust us - our government is not being honest.

I have spent my life making our country a strong military might, nearly everything I see in this war is something I worked on.
I'm very proud of our Armed Forces, my son is in the Army by the way - 101st Airborne, do I need to tell you where they are ?
Things I worked on and made will make his life safer, as well as those of everyone in our Country.
But I for the life of me don't understand this cowboy attitude that war is like a video game and we're always right.
The lies that were feed to my generation during 'Nam were bad enough, but this set of lies is so transparent that
if anyone actually takes the time to study what's being presented knows what a mess has been initiated.

If you were born after about 1980 you don't have a clue as to what life is all about, except a pampered view
from a soft and squishy perspective. Our culture makes up about 5% of the world population.
You have a lot to learn before you just call people names because you refuse to accept an alternate opinion.
This whole 'With us - or against us' mentality is an embarasment to our nation.
