AoT: 40th Day Website featuring a single screenshot for now.

So apparently our intrepid duo has got themselves caught in some Shanghai Shenanigans and are trying to uncover the 'Secret of the 40th day'.

EA's Press Release is calling it a "completely organic and rich co-op experience".

"As chaos blankets Shanghai, China, you must rely on your partner to survive as you weave through a broken city left devastated in a mysterious wake."

When a disaster of epic proportions strikes Shanghai, China, Rios and Salem find themselves right in the middle of it all--the wrong place, the wrong time, but the right team. A carefully orchestrated series of mysterious catastrophes is dragging Shanghai to the brink of ruin, and now the Army of Two must fight their way through ravaged city districts as they try to beat the odds and uncover the secret of the 40th Day.

I wish they just threw caution to the wind and went all-out gay with it. Make it as flamboyant as humanly possible.

I'm totally serious. Instead of the generic soldier characters, they should be stereotypical gay men. It would be both hilarious and awesome at the same time.

Formerly? Or formally?

The fist-bumping and "interesting" parachuting mechanics weren't enough?

No. The game was too subtly gay - the parachuting, fist bumping, back-to-back shooting, "blinging" out your gun. That's what I think they should change.

Go balls out (pun intended?).

The game is too generic otherwise. It's not Gears of War.

Oh man, just thought of an idea for an interesting story arch - they could go on a mission to rescue this scantily-clad woman. After you beat the boss and save her, she offers herself to the both of you, but you politely decline and all go shopping instead.

Sorry ducci. 1UP says that the sequel has "a bit less of the bromance."

That's too bad, what's he going to stroke to now?

But seriously... I didn't think the first one was that good or sold enough to warrant a sequel.

God damned bunch of slack jawed homophobes around here. :disgust:

First one was a great co-op game, I'll definitely be playing this.

Yeah, the gameplay mechanics need some serious work for the sequel to be playable. It was OK as a game to play co-op with a friend, but nothing I'd recommend to anyone.

Same here.

What about for cheap? I think I've seen it at around $20 at some places. Was looking for a fun coop game.

I bought my copy used for $10 from Gamefly. I'd check there first.

It was alright for that price. $5 would have been better.

Army Of Two was a good game except the co-op features like back-to-back, step jump and parachuting were pretty goofy. I am glad to see they are changing the multiplayer moves. Looks good.

This should be exciting. the first one was decent, but not the greatest thing on earth. If i can shoot stuff and blow shit up while doing it locally co-op, then this will be on my list.
