It's a world of probability distributions and futuristic speculation.
But the precedent goes way back to Washington. There was the Whiskey Rebellion, Shay's Rebellion, etc.
These guys are just a bunch of cornpone freeloaders with Stetsons and boots like mother's shoes. They have no historical justification, no legal case.
I was lenient in earlier appraisals of the current situation, noting that 5 years in prison was too much or too harsh for a 70-year-old grandfather.
But I relocated to the West Coast in 2000 to rejoin my family. Around 2003, the air was thick with smoke, and I remember seeing a 2"-long piece of ash fall from the sky on our patio -- it was an entire leaf, completely intact, turned to white ash. Those fires were 30 or 40 miles from here.
Then we had a series of blazes I can't count, and something like three arsonist-murderers like Raymond Oyler.
So I can see how some "accident" could result in criminal penalty. As such, they should follow the appeals process and then seek legislative remedies.
These other guys? Trying to take America away from me. No better than the drug-cartels, making it dangerous to hike in Cabeza Prieta during the Sonoran bloom.

What most folks don't understand is that other people worked long & hard to make 'em as crazy as they are. What would you expect to happen when a major political party has been preaching "Tear Down the Government!" for decades?
Here it is, guys & gals, the kind of revolution that Rush & friends have promoted for decades. How do you like it now?
