Hey, ya know it's a free country. Anyone is allowed to just walk into a Federal owned facility and tweet out "Bring Your Weapons and You're Wife and Kids for a Party", and then threaten to shoot any law enforcement that tries to intervene later.

Were you paying attention to what happened at the Bundy ranch and how some of the "leaders" talked about having the women and children lined up between them and the feds? What do you call that, family shields? Because I am one of the people who think that is bullshit, children have NO PLACE in a situation like this and anyone who thinks it's OK is a sick fuck. One of the militia nuts has been away from home since before Thanksgiving. He made a disturbing video where it sounds like he is saying goodbye to his wife and kids because he might die. Anyone who thinks this cause is more important than their wife and children is a sick fuck.

Why should I be concerned in the slightest with what these guys are doing? It's no threat to me or my way of life. I see no far-reaching implications for what they think they're going to accomplish and if there should end up being implications, I will just have to roll with the punches. We don't have a representative Democracy anymore in the U.S. We haven't had one for a long time. If these guys want to make a stand over some transgression either real or imagined, let them have at it. What is in motion is in motion and there is nothing I can do about it. My words, my thoughts will change nothing.

If you don't like my thoughts surrounding the subject at hand, I gain nothing by arguing with you over it. This is an Internet forum. Arguably the biggest time waster ever devised by man. I'm aware that you're out of work. I'm sorry for that. I'm also sorry that it is affecting your self esteem. You should take a look back at many of your posts in various threads because you are pretty much continually degrading people. It's minor and it's sometimes subtle, but it has become a theme. I understand why. I truly do.

As a former Diemaker, I know, and you know, that our work has been shipped overseas. It's gone. The design and manufacturing of tooling has evolved to the point that the assembly work can be done by nearly anyone. Machining was the last holdout, but that has been turned into a button pushing job. It's gone too.

You need to reinvent yourself. Barring that, you need to uproot and move to where the work is. I would recommend the Detroit area. They are sorely lacking in skilled help. We've all retired and they don't have anybody with the knowledge to solve the problems created at the design stage.

Having something to do, work, will do you some good. Reinvent yourself or move to where you can find the work you're comfortable with.

No, I am not moving to Detroit, have a nice house here in Clearwater that I have been living in locally for 25 years that is more or less paid off.

I usually avoid degrading people comments at all costs until someone comes into a thread and does it to other people non stop. That just gets to the point I eventually start responding in kind myself, especially if I see them doing it on an over time basis.

I love the forums, when I see other people being asshole's I try to shut them down.

Yes , my self esteem is pretty low lately, but I do not try to demean people over that, I'd like to think my mind set is a little more matured along those lines at any rate. Being kicked to the curb doing R&D at a major Aerospace manufacturer and working crap jobs the last 5 years had not really improved my outlook on life.
