Anyone play this game?

Is it any good?

I am a huge fan of the Master of Orion series so I have been waiting for a long time for a decent updated game that comes close. Is this one it? I have tried Space Empires V which is actually quite a great game if it were not for the fact the AI sucks. Also tried Sins of a Solar Empire which is very fun just a bit limited - not as in depth like Master of Orion was.

If you played Armada 2526 please elt me know your impressions of it

If you also played the MoO series how does it compare?

It's pretty meh in my opinion. If you're really bored it can kill some time; didn't like it nearly as much as MoO/MoO2.

Does anyone remember the original Armada 2525 that this is based on? I still have that game on floppy somewhere. It was originally a board game called Steller Conquest that was then made into Armada 2525 and now Armada 2526. Oh how the times fly.

I remember MOo1 and 2525 wayyy back int he day. Moo1 was one of the greatest games ever, 2525 was ok, not great but ok. You just built up a huge stack of fighters and they took out everything.

You can do that in Moo1 too. I remember playing Klackon and pumping out massive hordes of fighter sized crafted with miniaturized weapons they were dominating everything in their path
