I thought obscene stuff was illegal to send also threats. That would cover a lot of trolling.

It's also a bill of the State of Arizona, so even if this WAS primarily a bill from democrats, connection to Obama not found.

What seems odd to you about what I said? There are lots of things that are offensive that don't fit into the current legal definition (or lack thereof) of obscenity. For example, "You are stupid." (Not you in particular; it's a hypothetical example.)

I'm not really trying to start an argument at all. I got the impression you were claiming that the Arizona bill is somehow comparable in scope and effect to the rules governing US mail. If that's not what you meant then I apologize, but it wasn't a stretch to think that's what you meant to imply.
