Good luck protecting your lappy in college. You'll probably have to keep it on you most of the time lest you want it stolen.

Damn whenever I see "Fleshlight" in a thread I think of what he does WITH his fleshlight. 😱

For those that do not know what a fleshlight is try Google.

if you have $2200 I'd say splurge and get a nice ass convertable... (not a car). They kick ass for taking notes, and perform pretty well too. I want one soo bad but I got no money. Only thing is that you cant put it down anywhere just make sure you get insurance on it... like $12 a year.

Laptops suck for note taking. Plus it's obnoxious to both the teacher and students around you.

Well it may be your money but IF they kicked you out of their house where would you be?

At times you just have to bite your lip and suck it up.

You live under their house their rules 🙁

I have some money saved up but IF I just spent it on something they'd be p!ssed even though it is MY money.

That thing sounds bulky also.

My laptop weighs all of 1.67kg and it feels heavy when I have my folder and 1 pad and a few pens in my bag. It feels heavy walking about with. I also bought a really nice rucksack also with big straps and not those BS small straps on most bags. My shoulders ache and you would not want to walk around with a big laptp!

It isn't so bad if I don't walk around and stuff with my bag and laptop inside it.

Good luck with it.

That arguement of them saying your CC is not a College is BS btw.

"You live under their house, their rules." does NOT apply in this situation. He is not doing anythign illegal. He's spending the money he worked for. If his parents are going to kick him out of the house for this, well, his parents don't deserve a child.

Be a MAN! I'm 17 and put a $1.4K laptop on their credit card(my dad's cc doubles the warrenty) and told them I would pay for it when the bill came. Not that hard...even easier considering it would be your money that your spending.

"No"
"why not? its an awesome deal, 802.11g wireless, geforce4 GPU, athlon XP 2800+, 256mb ram, 40 gig hard drive, DVD rom, for $600"
"wait till you go off to mississippi college"
"why?"
"you need it to take notes in class"
"but i could use that at my current community college to take notes"
"its not the same"
"why?"
"wait to you go to a REAL college"
"You said this community college was a REAL college and i could learn just as much there as MC, back when i was deciding what college i wanted to go to, why is it no longer a REAL college?"
"your community college is free, MC is not"
"so, the quality of education is equal when it is free?"

it went downhill from there.........

If it's not a real college, then I guess they won't mind if you stop going.
