when i right click on it, i don't see any "advanced".....i'm using win2k pro if it helps at all

how can i do this through the control panel?

ok, here is what is listed:

[boot loader]
timeout=30
default=multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINNT
[operating systems]
multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINNT="Microsoft Windows 2000 Professional" /fastdetect
C:\="Previous Operating System on C:"

do i just remove the line with c:/ ?

Yup. Remove the c:\ line and make the timeout 0.

or for more fun:
Delete the c:\ line and copy the line above it again, but change the description to "Insert your funny line here"

same thing happened to me, win2k gave me the option of booting to dos, wtf? I haven't had dos installed on any systems in years...
