ARGH!!! Why does it keep crashing???

Here's my system.
VIA MVP3 chipset mobo
AMD K6/2 500 cpu
Elsa Gladiac GeForce GTS 32 mb DDR
Sound Blaster Live 5.1 MP3
Linksys 100/10 NIC
128 MB PC133 @ 100 because stupid old chipset doesn't support +33
running WIN ME, VIA 4in1 version 4.31v, latest drivers of everything

It runs fine during games like counter-strike and starcraft.
it crashes in Windows. especially in IE or MS Word.
WHY????

There are so many possibilities. Are you overclocking that K6-2? The SB Live! is problematic with lots of VIA chipsets, I wouldn't be surprised if that has something to do with it. Just try your video card alone first and do a fresh install. Also, get rid of Win ME. Stick with 98SE if you must, but Win2K is a far better choice.

yea i would say you go to 2k.. it is sooooooooooo much better and faster... much more stable.. and will beat out most other operationg systems!!!!!!!!!
