ARGH! Why can't my dad access his email from comcast.net unless he's an admin?

My dad just noticed he can't view the email program on comcast.net anymore. The main comcast page will display but as soon as he logs in to view email he gets nothing but a blank page. It works fine when I try as an admin, but it doesn't work on my dad's email account. Why the flying fuck would one have to be an admin to check some fucking email? This is the worst designed webpage I've ever seen. Is this something we just have to live with? I haven't been able to do anything other than give him admin privileges which I'd rather not do.

Badly built ActiveX plugin? I agree that it doesn't make any sense, but I know of at least one website that a department at work uses - everybody there has to be workstation admins because of that site.

If you gave him a 'limited use' account, his browser can't even run a plugin unless it has rights.

Instead of using comcast's webmail page, use http://www.mail2web.com/
Works fine from anywhere
