this client keeps on emailing me when her requests don't go through, and every single time it is because she does not spell her commands right. wtf is up with people like that.

she first emails me the command (spelled incorrectly), so i tell her to email it to list server (which processes the commands) and that she spelt it incorrectly. she then replies with the listserver's email address as the text of the email. i ask her if she has a question. she replies, and says that the command doesn't go through. lo and behold, she did not change her spelling. so i tell her this. now she has replied saying it still does not go through. surprise surprise, she found a new and innovative way to spell it incorrectly.

i don't get it. she can't just take the time to f*cking look and make sure she spells it right?! :|

Heh, i've worked with completely oblivious people before, is it possible to have her call you and walk her through it over the phone, it'd probably take about two minutes that way, spell it out letter for letter on the phone for her....

If I had a dime for every time a customer calls our ISP tech line to complain how they tried their email password (only once ofcourse) and our servers refuse. Or what's even more annoying are the people who give out misspellings of their email address to their friends. (or completely wrong email addresses)

not really:

<< spelt[2] Pronunciation Key (splt)
v.
A past tense and a past participle of spell1.

I didn't either until just now. Of course I wasn't silly enough to criticize until I was positive. Dictionary.com is your friend.

*crazed laughter*

this is beautiful... now she sent the right command, spelled perfectly... but she sends it to me, not the list server.
