Yes, that's what Samba is for. 🙂
 
Cool, i'll check out Samba...

And to those above who suggested USB, there are a few problems with that...

#1. For some reason it is significanly slower than FW... I just tried it and directories take longer to load, as do file listings.
#2. People over at apple forums have reported various corruption issues just writing files normally via USB.

Yeah, what does the 5G iPod have anything to do with FireWire corruption, considering it uses USB2?
