ARGH! Someone stole my bike :(

So I'm about to leave my apartment and go down to the garage area to grab my bike so I can go to class WHEN.......I see my bike is missing and my chain has been cut. UGH I am sooo pissed right now. It was a pretty damn nice K2 bike too. I really hope I see some jerk riding around on it on campus so I can throw a stick into the back wheels and see the asshole fly off into an incoming car.

That sucks. A reason why I keep my bikes inside the house.

Yeah, I might just have to do that now. I guess I trusted my surroundings a little too much :/

Ya, I bought an ok lock and my bike isn't that expensive, but I keep it inside, even though there's barely any space. Don't have to worry about rain and too much rusting either.

Get a new bike, put it in the garage and camp out with a baseball bat... Little POS will probably come back.

My bike got stolen during the last month of school in 2003. I kept it locked up inside at night, but this happened during the day. I locked it to a road sign next to one of the many construction sites on campus. I've always suspect that one of the construction grunts probably cut the lock and tossed it in the back of his pick-up.

I had just the fork of my bike stolen. The bike had plans to hit up Breck and Keystone so the fork was pretty decent.

the bike had plans of its own? 😛

Next time, you'll learn. Never keep a bike like a K2 out - there is ALWAYS room indoors. If you must resort to leaving the bike outside, remove the front wheel and use a ULOCK on the back, maybe two that have seperate keys. Also, remove the seat and carry it with you - it may look stupid, but it makes people think twice.

lol...yeah I'll probably do that. I talked to my landlord and supposedly someone else had their bike stolen recently (thanks for telling me :/).

Man this is driving me nuts. I'm sitting in the library attempting to do homework, but all I'm doing is peering out the windows scoping out bikes. Arghhhhh

When i used to bike around da city, i got the cheapest bike i could find just so that i wouldn't care if it was stolen. If i saw someone taking off with it i'd yell "HA, YOU STUPID ****".

Never had it stolen.

Buy cheap, flamboyant bikes ... and then label em with stickers and crap. I was thinking of buying a decent BMX single speed cruiser on CL and spraypainting it and all, just to make it tacky that no one would steal it.

what college is it where nobody locks their bikes, and you just get out of class, pick up a random bike, and go to your next class?

I once saw a bike while walking through NY. It was chained to a fence. However, the Wheels, Seat, handlebars, Reflectors and everything was removed, except for the frame itself.

The bike looked new too.

stick into the front wheel may work better.

sucks about the bike, make sure you didn't park it somewhere else. One of the guys that reported his bike stolen found it on another bike rack (opposite end of the normal place) about 3 months later stripped and rusted.

I hate thieves. Someone stole my FedEx package with $200 worth of memory (it was only supposed to be $40 after a $160 rebate but now that it's stolen, I'm out $200)
