You gotta be joking right ???
You can clearly see the underneath panel is pushed up.
2 people already said its not minor.
You compared this to touching a computer screen ??
Its a beautiful car. Not a $500 item.
You must not value your personal belongings that much.

Out of curiosity, what is your first/primary language? Its not English.

If the mechanic didn't have the time to do the work safely then he should've turned the OP away.

I bet that will be the case from now on.
OP has been going to this guy for almost 20 years (assuming he got his first car at 16), and he offered to pay to fix it, is this really worth ruining the relationship?

Trust me its ruined.
I can't imagine ever going to him again.
I think I got pretty pissed in the first place because he acted like nothing happened.
Its when I pointed out to him that he's like "oh".
Now when it happened and he sees it right away and was apologetic I wouldn't have reacted like I did.

I wouldn't go to this guy again.

Sucks but unless he offers something I wouldn't even bother with small claims. Just ruins everything

Someone asked me to update this.
Sorry I've been working and lazy at the same time.
I'm trying to fix my clutch problem before worrying the dent.
I have a daily which is why I'm in no hurry to fix the S2000.
So I bought a clutch master Cylinder to fix the clutch problem and then ill have someone look at the dent
