Hi, i just ran 3d mark 03 expecting about 15000 from this new rig (in sig) but i get 11704!!
And in 3d mark 2005 my score is way off the mark, at 4206!!!
the CPU is not overclocked, and although my gcard is modded >xt pe, it runs cool (32C idle)

any ideas :( i installed the via 4 in 1 drivers, and catalyst 4.10!

what was your score b4 the mod to XT PE?????

also are you using latest drivers??? if so then get some that are at least one version OLDER.....yes that is right take a step back....

if you don't have the latest drivers then maybe you should get them.....I believe that you should be getting near the 20000 or more on that XT-PE for 3dmark 03 does the XT have a molex??? is it connected......

I forgot to connect the molex on my Fx5900 at first....it still ran but not nearly as fast as it should have!

hope this helps

I get almost 10.000 with my Geforce 6800LE, so you should be getting double!

If you had more memory, you should set the AGP aperture size to 256Mb. But you should only do that when you have 1Gb of memory. If noticed a lot of change when I did that..

Have you submitted your results to Futuremark so we can view your system settings etc?
I've also read somewhere that SP2 for WinXP slows down alot on some systems.. And it looks like
your GPU is running to cool?? Have you checked the speeds of the GPU/memory? 32C is almost impossibly low :)

X800XTPE + a good cpu (a64 for example) usually scores in the 12000-13500 range in 3dmark03. I've not seen a 15,000 score from any *single* video card (SLI nvidia 6800ultra's?). For 3dmark05, it's more around 5000-6000. I will admit your scores are a tad low, but it could be due to the driver version you are using or the low amount of ram you have (512mb). There is a special version of the ATI catalyst's which have a bug fix for all 256mb cards, however the latest official catalysts do not include this fix (correct me if I'm wrong, they might, ive not been following that very closely as I dont have an ati card with 256mb of memory). With the 4.10's I would think you would be a bit higher, despite the memory bug (should it exist in the 4.10's).

It's probably the ram.. not enough of it. Double it to 1gb, get some dual-channel action going (your A8V supports it). Your score can only go up :]

I had the same problem.
I fixed it with the Omega Drivers. My '05 score jumped from 4200 to 5300, and with the help of atitool, i've oc'd my X800Xt and just broke 6k (6039)
