I'd call the land lord and let them straighten it out. There's no way that she can bitch about you doing stuff at 8:30pm. That's just totally unreasonable.

yeah ihave to agree. that is totally unreasonable.

personally i would turn on the TV or stero and play it until 10pm. let her complain about that. there is not much anyone can do. you arent breaking any laws.
Being spiteful is one of the most hateful things you can do. Don't do it.

who said i wanted him to be spiteful? just act normal. Most people watch tv/listen to the radio at least until 10 heck even my parents wh o are old and go to bed early stay up till 10 most nights!

live your life and not worry about what she says or does. you are not breaking any laws and i doubt highly much that the landlord will evict you. if he tries you got a good lawsuit.

I would do what I wanted until 10pm fvck the old bat. I used to have a neighbor like this a few years ago. She would complain about everything. Rest assured there would be a knock at the door with in a minute or two about anything louder than a gnat fart.
Eventually my roommate and I got sick of it and cranked up winamp and had my stereo blasting from 8 am to 11 pm one day with random tracks of silence (so she would think it was over). Got home turned it off and she never complained again she did move a month later though.

hahah ROFL

Yea, when I was living off-campus in school I had a family below me. I came home one day to find a note that said something to the effect of "you need to stop moving around so much between the hours of 1 and 5 am".

LOL... I wasn't loud or anything, I kept my speakers low and never had the TV loud, but I guess my walking around that late was enough. Oh well, no more of that business to deal with.

man, i have no sympathy for people who cant take ambient noise--move to the country.

i lived in a fraternity house for two years, where EVERYONE has ginormous sound systems. the dude underneath me would pass out with his system blasting so loud, the springs in my bed matress would vibrate. other times, guys would get back from a party absolutely blacked out at 4:00 in the morning and decide that if they were awake, everyone else should be too. after a while, i learned to sleep with ear plugs. oh the times i had.

I lived in an apt for ~8mo's while moving btwn homes. 2nd floor of a 3story apt. Never once had problem with noise complaints, or noisy neighbors. I guess it was the construction... concrete all around... dunno though, that was the only apt I lived in.

What are these noisy ones you all speak of made of? Wood I assume.
