I recently found myself in need of a new 2400+.. however, as luck would have it, I sold my secondary 2400+ in FS/FT a week ago. Perfect, eh? So, I'm presented with a choice..

Do I buy the latest 2400+ stepping, which has been proved to O/C well (yes, this is important)

-OR-

Do I hold out a few weeks, wait for the 2500+ Barton and get that?

Sure.. the 512kB cache will be nice.. but who knows if it can O/C worth a damn?

The prices will be relatively the same.. and it will be nice to be one of the first people with a Barton.. but still. Argh, it's killing me.. :)

I run with an EpoX 8RDA+ nForce2.. so Barton support is assured. :)

Go Barton, test it out, and if you don't like it, sell it :D Supposedly the 2500+ Barton is able to overclock to 3000+ levels and beyond.
