A couple months ago I started getting random reboot problems. After some troubleshooting I couldn't pinpoint the exact problem because the random reboots were, well, RANDOM. I replaced the power supply with a new one and the problem still occured. I replaced the motherboard with a new ASUS and everything worked fine. I figured that the olkd motherboard was the problem, but just yesterday I started getting random reboots AGAIN. ARGH! This is really annoying and I am starting to think that just maybe the problem could be that the power outlet is somehow damaging the motherboards. How would I test such a thing???

Does it happen "only in certain programs"?

UT2004 loved doing the reboot thing for me - driver roll-back cured it.

Forgot to mention that I did run memtest previously and it was fine. I will try to run it again tonight and leave to run.

If you think that its the AC coming from the wall ( dirty power)
you can always get a UPS that also cleans ( power conditioning ) the AC ( prevents Sags, surges, noise, spikes )
you should be able to get a decent one for around $100.00

cheaper than replaceing Motherboards
