Well, the receptionist comes into my precious cubicle and tells me that we're going to have a retreat next weekend, all paid by the company.

Now, the first thing that came to my mind is damn, its too early for ski season, too late for rafting. Maybe a tour of Napa Valley (i'm in Sacramento) with wine tasting and all that good stuff?

Since I only started 3 weeks ago, I let them decide. So, now, the conclusion is that we're going to the SF clubs next weekend? For some reason, thats one of the last things I expected at a company retreat and well, regret the fact that in the name of co-worker relations, I am going to sacrifice my saturday of doing absolutely nothing.

Anyway, for reference, everyone in on the trip is ages 22-28. I think the HR manager is like mid-30's and she loves her margaritas....

EDIT: Oh yea, maybe we can solve this lazy crisis by having better ideas of what to do? I have a feeling they'll probably send us on tours of like alcatraz and stuff too. Maybe you guys have ideas of what to do? Should be pretty close to Sacramento. I.E. SF, Napa Valley, Lake Tahoe, Reno, things like that.
Now, I'm also wondering what else we can put on the company tab? Can I have a huge lobster stuffed with steak dinner? All drinks paid for?

Oh well, maybe I should get back to work now.

Yep. She won't be comin, its employees only. I think she might have a few objections about me going clubbing with a bunch of 20 somethings too. But, its work related!
